Raspberry Martini 3 ounces raspberry vodka 3 ounces fresh raspberry puree Dash raspberry liqueur (NOT Raspberry Pucker) Dash of simple syrup (recipe follows) Pour all ingredients in a shaker over ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a pre-chilled martini glass. Ingredients, Raspberry Puree: 1 10-12 oz. package frozen raspberries, thawed 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon Kirsch or Cherry Brandy (optional) Directions, Raspberry Puree: In blender, combine thawed raspberries and their juices, lemon juice, sugar and brandy. Puree. Strain in smallest holed sieve until only seeds remain in sieve. Simple Syrup Makes about 2 1/2 cups 2 cups water 2 cups sugar In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the sugar and cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved, about 30 seconds. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until just slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat; set aside to cool. (May cover tightly and refrigerate for up to 3 weeks.)
